Membership
If you love German Shepherd Dogs and enjoy the fellowship of like-minded individuals, we would like to invite you to become a member of the German Shepherd Dog Club of Greater Kansas City. We offer three types of memberships. They are as follows:
Junior Membership:
Open to all person's ages 10 through 16 who are in good standing with the American Kennel Club and who subscribe to the purpose of this Club. A junior member shall be regarded as a regular member with the exception of voting privileges and the right to hold office, these being excluded.
Regular Membership:
Open to all persons 17 years of age and older who are in good standing with the American Kennel Club and who subscribe to the purpose of this club, has full voting privileges and rights to hold office.
Lifetime Membership:
Regular members who have had a continuous membership of 40 years.
We are a social club promoting the German Shepherd Dog in all aspects of our daily lives including the education and involvement in our local community. We welcome new members and realize it is our members who are the lifeline of this club, so please consider becoming a member.
Applying for membership is easy, once you have completed the Membership Application form below, just click SUBMIT.
Membership applications will be processed at the next regular club meeting that the applicant attends and the payment of the regular annual membership dues have been received by the Membership Chair. After July 1st and before January 1st of any calendar year, the dues will be one-half of the regular yearly dues. Applicants for regular membership shall be recommended/endorsed by two members of the Club in good standing and the Membership Chair will do the first reading of the application. The membership will vote on the acceptance of the application the following regular membership meeting with a favorable vote of 90% of the members in attendance at such meeting where a quorum is present.
