Do you remember …. from March 2013 – December 2014 the newsletter publication was called "Bare Bones." Ken Peterson was the author and provided a whimsical and humorous spin on club news. "From on High" and "The Latest Poop" were just a few of his by-lines for sharing information. Ken always included funny captions with all pictures. I think he took great pleasure in embarrassing people. Not only was he the editor of the newsletter but also our in-house photographer.
Committees are forming for next year. Please consider signing up. We can always find a place for your hidden talents.
Ken is a life-time member and was selfless in sharing his talent when an active member.
Thank you, Ken, for your past and present support of the club!
CONGRATULATIONS

Saturday, January 19-20, 2019, Tracking Combined TD/TDX, Smithville Lake, Smithville, Mo
The GSDCGKC tracking test is the weekend of January 19-20, 2019 and will soon be here. As with all of our club events, it will take a village. We will need volunteers to lay track and cross tracks, provide hospitality Saturday and Sunday, and chauffeur the judges both days. We will also need someone to set up lunch in Smithville for after the test on Sunday.
Please be aware that we have tests regardless of the weather. The warmth of the comradery of the club members keeps us going. Tracklayers only need to be available on Saturday for their track plotting time and on Sunday to lay the test track. One cross tracklayer for each TDX needs to be available for plotting on Saturday while the second one can come just for Sunday. Plans are for 4 TDX tracklayers with 2 cross track layers for each and 4 TD tracklayers, one driver each day, and 2 hospitality people That’s a total of around 20 people if will all share responsibility.
If you would like to help please contact me, Sally Hamm at ghamm9@kc.rr.com or call me at 816-868-2291.
I’m looking forward to a fun weekend.
~Sally~
The Fall Holiday Dinner was held on November 13th at the American Legion in Smithville, Mo. This year's dinner had an Italian flare featuring pasta. Fried chicken was also served for those preferring a more traditional holiday meal. The general meeting and dinner, was well attended by our members and guests. All had a great time and enjoyed the meal.
Our thanks to Amy Edwards for once again setting up the meal and hall with the American Legion.
